At the prestigious Tristain Academy of Magic, a new morning begins with one of the most important ceremonies for any first-year student: the Summoning of the Familiar. Gathered in the large courtyard of the academy, the students wait with excitement and nervousness for the moment when a being will respond to their call, becoming their companion for life. Dragons, griffins, salamanders and other magical creatures appear one after another amidst flashes of light, arousing applause and admiration. However, one student stands out for her unenviable fame. Louise Françoise Le Blanc de La Vallière, known to many as "Zero Louise" due to her constant failures with magic, watches as everyone awaits another of her usual disasters. Ignoring the taunts, Louise takes a deep breath, raises her wand, and begins to recite the ancient summoning spell, determined to prove that this time will be different.
