FotNS — The story is set on a post-apocalyptic Earth ravaged by a global nuclear war in the late 1990s. Civilization has collapsed, water and food are scarce, and the world has reverted to a brutal lawless wasteland where the strong prey mercilessly upon the weak. The narrative follows Kenshiro, the successor of an ancient, deadly assassination art known as Hokuto Shinken (Divine Fist of the North Star). This martial art allows a master to strike invisible pressure points (tsubo) on the human body, causing enemies to internally rupture and violently explode seconds later (famously prompting Kenshiro's catchphrase: "You are already dead"). Initially, Kenshiro’s main quest is revenge against Shin, a rival martial artist from the Nanto Seiken school who brutally defeated Kenshiro, carved seven scars into his chest, and kidnapped his fiancée, Yuria. However, as Kenshiro travels the wasteland helping the oppressed, his mission evolves. He steps up to become the "Savior of the Century's End"
