I was 18 years old and saving money to go to university. When I received my acceptance letter, my mother tore it up, and my brother mocked me. My mother kept the money for my brother. My hair was unkempt, uncombed, and a little thick, and the dress I was wearing was old and worn. I was coming home from work, tired, with the food my mother had prepared. When I entered, I found Jake and the guards surrounding the house.
