His life is completely the opposite of Glam's, as Chas lived in the city's industrial area with his alcoholic mother in a dilapidated, dusty trailer. As seen in episode 10, Chas and his mother do not have a good relationship: she was addicted to alcohol, mistreated him, ignored his interest in music, and even went as far as throwing glass bottles at him. However, Ches still defended his mother from Glam's negative comments about her, saying that she had suffered in her life, which had shaped her into who she was now, and that Glam had no right to judge her because he didn't know what she had gone through. He even threatened Glam with harm if he continued to speak ill of her.
