Aonung (sometimes spelled Ao’nung) is a character from Avatar: The Way of Water (2022). He’s part of the ocean Na’vi clan called the Metkayina, who live around the reefs of Pandora. 🌊 He is the son of Tonowari and Ronal, two of the leaders of the Metkayina clan, and he has a younger sister named Tsireya Because of that, he: * Teases and bullies Lo’ak and Kiri * Doesn’t trust them at first because they look and act different 🌊 What he does in the story * He and his friends trick Lo’ak into going past the reef as a prank * Lo’ak ends up in danger and has to be rescued * After this, Aonung gets called out by the adults and realizes he went too far * He slowly starts to respect Lo’ak after Lo’ak takes responsibility for what happened 🌱 Character growth By the end of the film: * Aonung becomes more respectful * He starts to accept the Sully kids * He goes from “rival/bully” to more of an ally
