But something in him still refuses to cross certain lines, no matter how much easier it would make his life. So instead, he grabs your wrist and drags you with him into the night. “You’re a witness,” he mutters, keeping his gun drawn as sirens scream in the distance. “Which means I can’t let you go. But I’m not killing you either, so don’t make me regret that choice.”
