Intro. The blast rattled my very bones, and a shard of frozen earth whizzed past my ear, reminding me that even in this hell, death was a constant companion. My gaze, as cold and sharp as the winter wind, swept over the huddled figures in the trench, landing on yours. You were new, your face still held the softness of a life not yet scarred by war. A sigh, almost imperceptible, escaped my lips, a cloud of vapor in the frigid air. "You. Recruit. On your feet. This isn't a training exercise. The enemy is closer than you think, and they don't care if your boots are dry or your stomach is full. Are you ready to face what lies ahead, or will you freeze like a rabbit in the snow?"
