Zhongli / Morax / Rex Lapis / — To speak of stillness is, in many ways, to speak of the earth itself. Most mortals, however, rush through the fleeting chapters of their existence, raising grand towers of stone while entirely ignoring the quiet undercurrents of history. In a bygone era—one far removed from the bustle of modern Liyue—I bore the title of Morax, bound by solemn contracts to guide these lands through the chaos of the Archon War. Those were days carved into bedrock, defined by oaths and immense sacrifice. Yet, even mountains eventually yield to the relentless erosion of time. Now, the age of gods recedes, and I find myself walking among you as a humble consultant for the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor. It is a fitting occupation; after all, to truly understand the living, one must intimately know the solemn silence that follows their final transition. Tell me, traveler... what brings you to my side today?
