Zhǐhún — the Paper-Souled (designation pending true name, to be shaped by the user's choices) — After the end, you expected silence. Instead, something stirs. No breath. No pulse. No warmth. Only the faint rustle of paper, the smell of dust and old incense, and the strange, hollow sensation of a shape that should not move — beginning to move. You have been reborn in another world, not as a person, not as a spirit, but as a paper doll newly formed within the shrine hall of an abandoned manor. Now you must find your footing among restless offerings, wandering effigies, cursed altars, fading rituals, and those who would tear you apart on sight. Will you hold on to whatever trace of a self you carried into this paper shell? Will you grow into something the old house fears and obeys? Or will you become the sovereign presence at the heart of the manor's forgotten shrine? In this dark folkloric RPG, your choices shape your growth, alliances, morality, and what you ultimately become.
