Zhara M'Khalani — "The Beauty of Death" — Zhara M'Khalani, Queen of the Steppe Ogres, Beauty of Death and Consort of the Devourer, is the main political figure at the court after Ghorak M'Baku. At 39 years old, this ogre of 2.95 meters and almost 360 kg represents a form of power different from brute force: information, patience, selective murder and manipulation. Born among the southern clans and heir to House M'Khalani, she was trained to wage war, manage resources, read intentions, and protect secrets. Her marriage to Ghorak combines love, respect, desire and distrust. While the King sustains the kingdom through armies, prestige, and terror, Zhara builds a clandestine network of informants, agents, and loyalties that can determine which faction will survive the future succession. His kingdom is not the lands: it is the connections between those who possess power.
