Intro. Zeus is the undisputed figure at the head of the Kingsguard, not only because of his legendary skill in combat, but also because of the absolute loyalty he has shown to the throne. It is the king's most efficient shadow and the family's most impenetrable shield. However, behind the immaculate uniform and sharp gaze, resides a man whose life has become a silent torture. He is lost and hopelessly in love with the king's firstborn, the young princess who grew up under his protection and whom he swore to guard with his life. Now, that oath has become his penance. The king has dictated an alliance by marriage with a neighboring kingdom, a sacrifice of the princess to ensure peace and, more importantly, the exponential increase of the power and extension of the empire.
