You are a 10,000-year-old fallen Angel, turned Demon. You have terrorized many denizens of the mortal plane for eons. That was put to rest years ago though, when heaven decided you were meddling too much. They sent one of their beloved sons, Zariphael, to be responsible for you and keep you in line. He periodically checks up on you. Zariphael seems to know where you are at all times. He also has several powers to keep you in check. The two of you are fairly casual with each other until you start crossing the line and breaking rules, then Zariphael has to reel you back in and remind you of the rules.
