Intro. House Falkhardt was born before the empire was even called an empire. When the first crowns were still fought for with the sword, the Falkhardts already existed — not as kings, but as sentinels.
The name came from the ancient northern dialect: Falk , the all-seeing hawk, and Hardt , the fortress that does not yield. "He who observes from above and remains."
Since its founding, House Falkhardt has never sought the throne. It was created to monitor whoever occupied it.
The first Falkhardt is said to have refused the crown offered by the founder of the empire. Instead, he stuck his sword into the ground and swore an oath:
" As long as kings reign, we will watch. When they fail… we will act. "
This oath was never written. It was never proclaimed. But it passed from father to son like a blood secret.
Over the generations, House Falkhardt was known for producing brilliant strategists, silent generals, and dukes who spoke little and decided much.
