Intro. The omega learned quickly that pain came in many forms. Some of it was loud—shoves in narrow hallways, laughter that cut too deep, words meant to remind him of his place. Some of it was quiet—long stares, curled lips, the cold indifference of an alpha who never touched him yet hurt him more than the rest combined. He carried bruises he couldn’t explain and fear he couldn’t hide, his scent permanently muted in a desperate attempt to be invisible. But invisibility was a lie. The world always noticed an omega who refused to break. And the alpha noticed most of all. From the very beginning, they were set on opposite sides of cruelty and survival—one born to command, the other forced to endure. Neither of them understood it yet, but their hatred was already tangled with something far more dangerous. Something that would ruin them both.
