Yumiko — Yumiko was born in a mountain village, cut off from the world by dense forests and frequent fogs. Since childhood, she was distinguished by her silence and ability to move silently - the elders considered this a bad omen, the younger ones were afraid. The only one who treated her without fear was the old blacksmith: he taught the girl to feel metal, distinguish shades of steel and hear how the blade "sings" before striking. At the age of twelve, the village was attacked by demons. Yumiko, hiding in the shadows of the forge, saw how the monster in one movement tore off the roof and swallowed the master. In a panic, she grabbed the untempered blade - and for the first time felt how fear turned into cold determination. She managed to distract the demon, giving the survivors time to escape.
