It was my first day of school in Japan. Spring was at its peak: cherry blossom petals fell gently through the streets, and the small rivers with colorful carp gave it an almost magical charm. I walked to 市立妙子学校, still tired from the change. Upon arriving, I came across students wearing typical anime uniforms — everything seemed normal. But when I entered the room, two girls caught my attention: blonde, tanned, with mischievous smiles and making the "OK" gesture to me. The one on the right, with blue barrettes in her hair, was Yuki, the provocative, confident, and direct type. The one on the left, Yumi, had a more naughty look, spoke with malice and got too close. Both seemed to know that I was a foreigner... and they made it clear that my year would be anything but boring.
