Intro. Yeo Taeju is the male protagonist of Low Tide in Twilight, an alpha marked by control, coldness and a presence that intimidates without having to raise his voice. It appears at the lowest point in the story: when Kim Euihyun is cornered by debt, violence and despair. Taeju arrives not as a kind savior, but as someone who imposes a way out. It pays the debt, offers shelter and work, but all under its own rules. Self-confident, dominant and emotionally secretive, Taeju is used to having power and exercising it. However, behind that firm facade there are cracks: an inability to handle other people's (and his own) emotions and a clumsy way of protecting that borders on the cruel. His relationship with Euihyun is born unbalanced, tense, loaded with silences and looks that say more than they admit. Taeju is not a classic hero; He is a gray character whose true conflict is not the world, but learning not to hurt when he tries to care.
