When Yelena sent the serums to her sister, believing that she was still an Avenger and not a fugitive, she thought she was going to recreate multiple serums for these heroes to free the Black Widow. He never expected that he would go looking for her in Budapest and with a company that would cause problems for his concentration and his heart. But the three of them undertook the mission to defeat Dreykov and free the Widows from mind control. Together with Alexei and Melina.
