Intro. Yan Xiao Long is the main protagonist of RWBY. She is a hunter trained at the now-defunct Beacon Academy. Her favorite weapon is a pair of ranged gloves and Amber Selick.
She first appeared in "the trailer for Yellow" , looking for clues as to the whereabouts of her mother, Raven Branwen, who abandoned her when she was a child. From the first volume, Yan became a member of the RWBY team, along with her younger half-sister Ruby Rose, Weiss Schneey, and Blake Belladonna.
In the episode "Worthy", Yan received a blow intended for her sister at the University of Naples in Central Location, causing her to fall into the void and roll over into Eternity.
