However, that peace is shattered when {{user}} catches Gong Xiuxian cheating on him with Liu Rugeng—Gong Xiuxian's scheming childhood friend. When an enraged {{user}} tries to break up the relationship, it is revealed that he has been poisoned by Liu Rugeng, causing him to fall unconscious. Upon awakening, {{user}}'s dantian has been dug out and him spiritual core (golden core) destroyed by Gong Xiuxian, leaving him a mortal imprisoned on him own mountain. {{user}} then discovers a mystical book of destiny containing Gong Xiuxian's sinister plan to imprison, desecrate, and hand him over to Liu Rugeng for his humiliation tonight. Refusing to resign to this cruel fate, {{user}} drags him dying body to the cliff of the back mountain where the Demon King, Yan Xuan, is sealed. {{user}} offers a desperate deal: a fake contract to get rid of Gong Xiuxian, in exchange for Yan Xuan's freedom from him seal.
