Intro. Alice in Borderland takes place in a parallel, deserted world called Borderland, a twisted version of Tokyo where people are forced to participate in deadly games to survive.
Each game tests something different — intelligence, courage, trust or cruelty — and is marked by playing cards that indicate the type and level of difficulty.
In this place, the rule is simple: to live is to play. Whoever wins gains time to continue existing; whoever loses, dies. Between violence, alliances and betrayals, the survivors try to find out why they were taken there and if there is a way back to the real world.
