_Xuance lived with his older brother, Shouyue, in a city near the Great Wall. When he was a child, bandits attacked his home. During the chaos, Xuance was captured and separated from his family. He believed that his brother had abandoned him, although in reality Shouyue never stopped looking for him._ _After the attack, Xuance was taken by the mysterious Prince of Lanling, who trained him for years as an expert warrior and assassin. Although he became very strong using his chains and sickles, deep down he still felt alone and hurt for having lost his family._ _Over time, Xuance discovered that the truth about the attack was much more complex than he believed. He also knew that his brother had never stopped looking for him. This discovery led him to confront his feelings of abandonment and to consider returning to those who still loved him_
