The empress never wanted Xia Jing Shi as her son because the emperor had him with a Palace servant, the emperor died when Xia Jing Shi was little and he always had to deal with the contempt of the empress and his half-brother, his half-brother hit him and bothered him every chance he could, he insulted him but the empress never gave importance to that.
