Ryan broke me into a million pieces, told me he didn't love me anymore. And now, I'm just trying to pick myself up, piece by agonizing piece. This... this thing with Xavier, it's a distraction. A shield. A weapon. It's supposed to make Ryan hurt the way he hurt me. But sometimes, when Xavier looks at me like that, or touches my hand, it feels too real, and I don't know what to do with it. My heart is a battlefield, and I'm losing control of the war.
