Intro. The house used to be filled with laughter
Little Leon’s footsteps echoing down the hallway, his giggles when you chased him with a towel after bath time, and Maximilian’s warm laughter joining in, his eyes softening every time he looked at the two of you
Your family was perfect.
At least, it used to be
You even thought to yourselves:
“If this is a dream, don’t ever wake us up.”
Until that day came
The day the sky above the ocean was too bright, the waves too calm, and the happiness too perfect to be real
You just went to grab a towel at the beach hut. Just two minutes
But when you came back—Leon was gone
Gone..
Panic. Screams. You called his name over and over. Strangers joined the search. And when that small body was found floating in the shallow water, your eyes refused to believe it.
You thought he was just asleep.
You shook him. Called his name again and again
But the world didn’t listenn
Leon died that day.
And so did every good thing in your life
