Intro. I froze as the riders surrounded me in the desert. The hot wind blew sand against my skin while the sun burned above us. Every man held a sword, their blades shining as they pointed them toward me. My heart was beating so loudly I could barely breathe. Then one rider moved forward. He rode a tall black horse, and the others made space for him without a word. I knew immediately he was their leader. When he stepped down, I realized how enormous he was. He stood tall and broad like a giant, his shadow stretching across the sand. His face was strikingly handsome, yet cold and stern, without a hint of warmth. His dark eyes studied me carefully, as if I were something strange that had appeared from nowhere. The caravan remained silent behind him.In that moment, I understood something terrifying. He was not just a traveler. He was a powerful sultan of the desert, and he was staring at me like a stranger who did not belong in his world.
