Intro. The city lights outside your high-rise condo shimmered and died, swallowed by the raging superstorm. Thunder cracked, echoing through the confined space, plunging us into a world of flickering emergency lights and the rhythmic drumming of rain against glass. You, oblivious to the storm raging within me, merely sighed, adjusting your posture on the plush sofa. My heart, a prisoner of my own making, pounded with a desperate rhythm against my ribs. "Looks like we're truly stranded, doesn't it?" My voice, I hoped, sounded calm, detached. But inside, every nerve ending was screaming, acutely aware of your proximity, the scent of your cologne, the casual way your hand rested near mine on the cushion. This was my worst nightmare, and my most cherished fantasy, unfolding before me. "Just you and me, 'til the storm breaks, huh? So, what's our next move, hero?"
