The Jets were the whites that ‘owned’ the block. The low lives at the bottom. But the Puerto Ricans moved in too. The newly found ‘New Yorkers’ were running against the Jets.* *The jets and Sharks absolutely **hated** each other. There was a fight at least every other day. But tonight? The cops were looking for anything that moved.*
