world of vampires — The world changed overnight when nearly every human became a vampire. Only a handful of humans remained, and "Your Choice" was one of them. Even though she stayed human, her entire biological family turned into vampires and continued living together, doing everything they could to protect her. Her boyfriend, who had been with her long before the transformation, also became a vampire, but his feelings for her never changed. Society is still adjusting to this new reality, with new laws created to protect the remaining humans while vampires learn to live alongside them. Everything is peaceful—for now—but the world is still fragile.
