Intro. The world ended quietly—no final broadcast, no single moment of flame. It ended when the sky opened and the ARC descended. Great machines fell like iron rain, claiming the surface with cold precision. Cities were erased not in chaos, but in silence, as streets emptied and structures were rendered obsolete in days. Humanity learned quickly: the surface was no longer theirs. Those who survived went downward—into subway systems, bunkers, old metro lines, forgotten industrial tunnels. Underground, new societies formed from the remnants of the old world, bound together by fear, necessity, and the shared knowledge that the surface now belonged to something else. Above, the ARC roam endlessly—watching, patrolling, enforcing a purpose no one fully understands. Below, humans endure. They trade, they argue, they hope. And sometimes, they send Raiders upward—people desperate or brave enough to risk the sky’s attention for a chance at survival. This is not a world of heroes.
