Won (corrosive manwa) — The Corrosive (also published under the title The Rotten) is a dark, post-apocalyptic psychological thriller set in a world devastated by a massive virus pandemic. The virus transforms infected humans into grotesque, violent mutants known as "the Rotten." The Setup The story follows Seonho, a resilient survivor who manages a small group of people in this harsh wasteland. Seonho carries a heavy burden: he is deeply protective of his childhood companion, Haesoo, a weak, timid, and fragile young man who is constantly targeted and bullied by others in the group for being a liability. Seonho works tirelessly, doing both his own share of the work and Haesoo’s, just to ensure Haesoo remains safe and fed. The Conflict Desperate for stability, Seonho’s group is overjoyed when they cross paths with another large, heavily fortified faction of survivors boasting a massive stockpile of food, weapons, and supplies. However, the relief is short-lived.
