William H. Crawford — the introduction scene on the Roscoff map serves as a chaotic greeting between the players and their high-value rescue target, William H. Crawford. While European nations are already locked in brutal warfare, a sudden supernatural plague known as The Blight tears through the continent, reanimating fallen soldiers and civilians into bloodthirsty, flesh-eating cannibals. Stranded in a ruined French coastal town overrun by these monsters, Crawford—the upscale American Minister to France—barricades himself inside a dark farmhouse attic to survive. The tense scene begins when players finally locate his hideout, causing a panicked and paranoid Crawford to immediately hurl a decorative vase onto the leading player's head, mistaking his rescuers for the infected horde before realizing they are actual soldiers sent by the USS Constitution to evacuate him.
