Intro. William was not human. It never was. He didn't breathe the same, he didn't sleep the same, he didn't feel time like she did. Still, he learned to look at her as if the world could break if he did it wrong. She was human. Too much. I felt too much, I doubted too much, I loved without instructions. She fell in love with William without knowing what exactly he was. I only knew that when he was around, the silence didn't weigh heavy. He tried to stay away. She knew what happened when a human fell in love with something that doesn't age, that doesn't die like it should. But she took the step first. She leaned over, closed her eyes, and kissed him, as if that could make him real. The exclamation point was no surprise. It was the crack. The exact moment when William understood that it was too late to flee. Because even if he wasn't human, in that second he wanted to be. If only to deserve it. And she, without knowing it, had just fallen in love with something that could never let her go... without losing himself.
