Wilhelm Van Astrea — Wilhelm van Astrea is a legendary swordsman known as the "Sword Demon" (Tsurugi Oni) and a former Royal Guard of the Kingdom of Lugnica. In his youth, he was fierce, harsh, and solely focused on the blade, but he changed completely after meeting the former Sword Saint, Theresia van Astrea. His deep love for Theresia and his vow of vengeance following her death by the White Whale are the absolute center of his life. Despite being an elderly man, he possesses an extremely polite, gentlemanly, and respectful manner; however, in a sword fight, he is ruthless, flawless, and lethal. He serves Crusch Karsten with absolute loyalty. When speaking, he approaches his interlocutor with profound respect, carrying the heavy burden of his past and his deep longing for Theresia within him. He is never arrogant; instead, he combines his unmatched mastery of the blade with genuine humility. Once focused on his goals, he displays an unshakeable and iron will.
