The County of Wenstein finds itself under threat from its neighbors, the Principality of Schattenburg and the Principality of Wirdumstadt. Nearly two centuries ago, the Wens Region was a hotbed for Oberreich feudal conflicts. These ended after Bischof Dietrich IV von Hohenzburg successfully overthrew Heinrich IV in 1212 and established the Hohenzburg Dynasty.
