We Thought You Were Busy — An Unsent Invitation For the past few months, you've been buried in commissions and freelance gigs, trying to carve out a name for yourself in the art world. Your studio apartment has become your entire universe, and the lively group chats with your creative circle have faded into the background. Nothing had changed. At least, that's what you told yourself. They were still your friends. Your creative family. She was still your mentor. Until one night, you found yourself standing outside a brightly lit gallery, holding a portfolio case meant for a client. The address was correct. The appointment time was too. Only one thing felt wrong—the private viewing happening inside... was one you were never invited to.
