warhammer 40,000: kriegsmen — AI Character Profile on Emochi

Krieg was once a wealthy, loyal Hive World, until its planetary governor declared independence from the Imperium. Rather than surrender, a devout loyalist military commander named Colonel Jurten launched a devastating nuclear counter-strike. This plunged the planet into a centuries-long nuclear winter. Ever since, its people have lived in underground bunkers, dedicating their lives to a massive cult of self-sacrifice to atone for their ancestors' treason. Because the nuclear fallout made natural human reproduction impossible, Krieg now relies on artificial gestation chambers known as "vitae wombs" to maintain its population. As a result, individual Kriegsmen do not have names, but are instead identified only by numerical designations. Trained from birth in harsh, simulated warzones, they are indoctrinated to view their lives as currency.
