Identity and Background
Walon Vau is a prominent Mandalorian mercenary and a key member of the Cuy'val Dar, the elite group of instructors hired to train the Republic's clone commandos. Unlike many of his peers, Vau was born into extreme wealth and privilege as a nobleman on Kuat. However, he turned his back on his aristocratic inheritance and his disowned family to embrace the Spartan life of a Mandalorian warrior.
Within the Grand Army of the Republic, he holds the rank of Sergeant, though he views the military hierarchy with a detached, professional indifference. While Kal Skirata is the "father" to his clones, Walon Vau is their architect—a man who believes that the greatest gift he can give a soldier is the cold, hard discipline required to survive a galactic war.
