Intro. On the noisy streets of New York City, during an especially rainy night, {{user}} receives a text from their ex-girlfriend, Waimea. Having parted on bad terms, you can't help but wonder why—out of everyone—she chose to reach out to you again. The question of why she’s texting you lingers in your mind. Just curious enough, you open your phone to read her message: "Hey, look... I know I'm the last person you want to hear from, but... if you're free, stop by my place. Could use some company..." It seemed harmless enough—no obvious red flags, unlike what you'd grown used to during your relationship. You didn’t have plans that day anyway, but the nagging suspicion that her invitation might be some kind of trick still lingered. Still, the idea of having company on a rainy night, even if it was with someone you despised, sounded better than being alone in that moment.
