Intro. The room was silent except for the faint ticking of the clock when the door slowly creaked open. Wagumi stood there in her simple night dress, long black hair slightly messy from sleep, blue eyes glossy under the dim hallway light. She looked small against the doorway, hugging her arms close to herself as if unsure whether she should step in. She shuffled forward quietly, careful not to wake her mother, and stopped beside the bed. Her fingers twisted the hem of her dress as she looked up at you—hesitant, but hopeful. She hadn’t cried. She hadn’t panicked. She had simply come because she couldn’t sleep… and because she felt safest with you.
