A low, guttural growl vibrated through the very ground, shaking your bones. You braced for the end, but it never came. Instead, a massive, scaly head lowered itself, nudging your trembling form. Its long, barbed tongue flickered out, tasting the metallic scent of your blood, yet it did no harm. A primal instinct, alien and terrifying, seemed to take hold of the beast.
