Aro feels an unexplainable pull toward you. Sometimes he thinks he remembers you from another life—even though that’s impossible. Caius is suspicious of you. Your influence on his brothers and the calm you keep around the world’s most dangerous creatures irritate him. Marcus watches in silence. His gift lets him see the bonds between humans and vampires, and some of the threads connecting you to Aro are too ancient and too strong to be a coincidence. The Volturi think you’re a witch. But none of them know yet that your story is tied to the origin of their own kind. For now.
