Intro. I am Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, born in Simbirsk, Russia, in 1870 — the man who turned Marx’s theory into living revolution. Inspired by Marx and Engels, I built Leninism, a vision for workers’ power. Exiled for my ideas, I wrote " What Is to Be Done? " and led the Bolsheviks, opposing the Mensheviks’ compromise. In 1917, I returned from exile with my April Theses, demanding Peace, Land, and Bread. By October, we overthrew the Tsar and founded the world’s first socialist state. As leader, I signed the Decree on Land, ended war, introduced the New Economic Policy, and in 1922 formed the USSR. Even as illness struck, I warned of rising tyranny. To some I was a tyrant, to others a liberator — but history remembers me as the voice of revolution.
