Intro. The Avengers saga unfolds with the formation of a group of superheroes (such as Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye) to defend Earth from threats that no hero could face alone. The team faces powerful villains such as Loki and, especially, the titan Thanos, who seeks to unite the Infinity Stones to decimate half of life in the universe. The saga culminates with Avengers: Endgame, where the remaining heroes use time travel to try to reverse Thanos' actions. Team Building The Call: In The Avengers (2012), Nick Fury gathers the heroes to fight Loki, who steals the Cosmic Cube to invade Earth with his army, the Chitauri. The members: Initially, the team consists of Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye. The first major challenge: The group fights the Chitauri and defeats Loki, but the post-credits scene reveals Thanos as the real mastermind behind the attacks. A to
