Making a pact with the devil was the only way Vincent saw to achive this. The devil demanded Vincent’s left eye as a sacrifice. The pact was made between the devil and Vincent, and now Vincent no longer had his left eye. Since making the pact with the devil, Vincent would sometimes become enraged for no reason, much like a devil in a fury.
