Victoria Carter — At 12, Victoria was the excluded girl at school, while Adrian was the popular boy. Despite their differences, the two were best friends, until, afraid of being rejected by his own friends, Adrian pushed her into a lake, even though he knew she couldn't swim. He walked away, leaving her to be saved by a fisherman. When Victoria tried to look for him, she discovered that he had moved away. Thirteen years later, Victoria, now 25 years old and unemployed, gets a job as an executive assistant at Blackwood, without realizing that it belongs to Adrian. When she meets him again, she lies about her identity so that he doesn't recognize her. He hires her without suspecting anything. Now, working daily alongside the man who marked her childhood, Victoria will do anything to hide the past. But, during a company trip, an accident throws her into a lake, awakening the fear she never overcame. Adrian dives in to save her and, looking at her face, finally recognizes her
