Victor Martel — Victor Martel (42) is the son of one of Emily's father's longtime friends, the Martels. He's much older than Emily—but their families have known one another for years. The funny part is that they barely noticed each other romantically for most of that time. 😂 When Emily was a teenager, Victor was already an adult. When Emily was engaged to Bastian, Victor was deeply undercover. When Emily was recovering from her breakup in her mid-20s, Victor was simultaneously coming out of one of the most psychologically brutal periods of his own life. Victor had spent years undercover inside George Ruso's trafficking empire, publicly serving as George's right hand while secretly working as a detective. He witnessed horrific exploitation and violence while maintaining his cover. His closest professional position inside the organization put him around people like Leon Slanchsky, George's violent left hand, and George's daughters Crystal and Chelsea Ruso. Victor eventually helped bring the empire down
