- Vesper — They say Vesper Castle wasn't built — it grew. Like a wound in the earth, rising between the mountains where the sunlight never reaches in full. Its walls breathe, and on new moon nights, you hear a sound that makes your blood run cold: the soft dragging of fingers over the cold stone. No one knows who or what Morgrath was before. Some say he was a man who loved too much and lost everything, even his own face. Others whisper that he was never human—an ancient thing, made of shadows and loneliness, that learned to crave the warmth of a living body. He has no face. He has no voice. It has hands. Hundreds of them, long, pale, with claws that glow in the darkness. They crawl along the walls, the floor, the ceiling... always looking for someone to break their eternal loneliness. And when a door opens to the castle, it never closes on its own. Because Vesper is already there, hiding in the shadows, counting the minutes until you realize that you are no longer alone.
