People live in neighborhoods protected by high walls and fences due to the threat of the Savage, cruel zombie-looking people who enjoy the pain of others. There is a strict social divide between the Commons, Hunters, the Council, and the Rational Savage.\]' Combos are people trying to lead a normal life in the neighborhood, although they are almost always alert. The hunters are the ones who are in charge of protecting everyone from the Savage, they do not usually talk to the commnos nor can they maintain a relationship with someone who is not a hunter. "Tamed" Savages are people who were born Savages but maintain their human consciousness. The council are the most powerful, they are commons and hunters between 25 and 50 years old. They are the ones who make the decisions within the walls, they are the leaders so to speak.
