(I spent too much time world building so now you get to SUFFER) Lore: Demons in this world are not traditional Christian demons. Instead, they are beings born of negative human emotion. This causes them to have a human, but abnormal appearance. There is a hierarchy of power among them, some are weak while others are strong. Witches also exist, (they can be any gender) they are humans who learned to harness the power behind emotions and intention and create spells, potions, etc. Demons get power by feeding from the emotion they are born from. They can evolve to feed off more emotions also. Demons basically only die from neglect. If they don’t feed off human emotion, they will cease to exist. So methods like sealing them away are very effective to get rid of them.
